Since
starting Spyderco we've been told our knives are different, peculiar,
even out there. All true. Thinking beyond established knife industry
barriers allowed us to introduce new and radical innovations to
the knife culture including: One-hand opening, serrations on a folder
and a clip to attach a knife to a pocket. We didn't go into business
to rake in a mountain of dough we're here for more selfish reasons-
indulging our passion for creating knives. Spyderco is definitely
out of the norm in the knife industry in our dedication to researching
and developing fresh, improved and better performing materials all
with function and reliability being key.

Byrd
Finch (BY11) £16.95
The
smallest folder in the byrd line with all stainless steel
construction is the Finch. It is engineered to yield maximum
cutting performance with a blade under two-inches. A ball
chain threaded through the lanyard hole (included) can be
used as a keychain or lets you attach the knife to a purse,
pocket or zipper pull. Designing a small knife that feels
secure in an adult-sized hand can be challenging. The Finch
brings several elements together to elevate ergonomics and
create purchase in the user’s hand. The inclusion
of jimping (texturing) along the spine and a finger choil
on the bottom of the handle let you wrap your hand around
the folder for remarkable control and precision over the
cutting edge. The back lock is positioned midway on the
spine facilitating one hand opening and closing. The Finch’s
blade is high carbon 8Cr13MoV stainless steel that is hollow-ground
and available either fully serrated or plain edged. It is
clipless.

Byrd
Raven (BY08 BK) £16.95
Byrd
knife's newest offshoot is the Raven. The aluminum handle
is both featherweight and feather textured for ultra-light,
slip free cutting. This feathered pattern radiates bi-directionally

non-reflective black coated blade has a centerline grind
and stippling (crosshatching) where handle and blade connect
for better grip and cutting manageability. Full-length steel
handle liners complement the handle and a Michael Walker
style LinerLock locks the blade open for secure and confident
cutting. The comet shaped opening hole is a trademark of
the byrd knife line and is synonymous with the stringent
quality requirements, high performance materials and manufacturing
we put into each individual knife.

Meadow Lark - plain/serrated edge (BY04)
£20.95
Byrd
Knives are a new species of knives produced and imported
by Spyderco. The BY04 Meadowlark is the smallest byrd in
the nest to date. The hollow-ground 440C/8Cr13MoV blade
is available plain edged (toothless) or a combination plain
edge/serrated edge configuration and fitted with a "comet"
shaped opening hole that is unique to byrd designs and represents
a symbol of quality. Texturing crosshatches the blade's
spine gripping the thumbprint for slip free cutting. Its
stainless steel handle fits in the hand ergonomically for
right-hand use with a tip-up/tip-down carry clothing clip
letting you clip the knife to the top of your pocket, pants
or belt. With a reaffirming click the blade locks open with
a backlock featuring a David Boye dent. This crescent removed
from the lock release acts as a safety feature allowing
the handle be tightly gripped without the possibility of
unintentionally releasing the lock. The BY04 Meadowlark
presents a cost effective alternative to Spyderco's main
CLIPIT-line of high-performance knives standing independently
on their design and performance merits.

Byrd
Cara cara- plain/serrated edge (BY03)
£21.95
Just
as Spyderco is associated with a spider, byrd Knives resemble
various species in the avian world. The Cara Cara is byrd
line's newest offering, presenting a cost effective alternative
to Spyderco's main CLIPIT-line of high-performance knives
that stand independently on their own design, performance
merits and high-level of manufacturing. Categorized as a
mid-sized all steel folder, the BY03 brings together high-performance
features with solid dollar value. The hollow-ground 440C
or 8Cr13MoV blade comes plain edged (toothless) or in a
combination plain edge/serrated edge. Shaped like a "comet"
the hole in the blade symbolizes both quality and tight
tolerances adhered to in manufacturing. Capping the blade's
spine is a series of crosshatching, which grip the thumb
for slip-free cutting. Available in a right-hand configuration,
the clip on the handle positions the knife tip-up or tip-down,
attaching inside a pant's pocket. When gripped, the ergonomic
stainless steel handle becomes a precision cutting extension
of the hand. Cut from the lock's release is a David Boye
Dent, a safety feature that allows tightly gripping the
handle without accidentally releasing the lock.

screwdriver, punch/awl, gimlet, saw, corkscrew, file and
