Most knives have blades made from stainless Sandvik 12C27 steel. Some models are available with blades of black finished carbon steel. Sandvik 12C27 is a Swedish steel developed by the Sandvik Corporation specifically for knives and surgical instruments. It is easy to sharpen and holds and edge well.

The knife blades are hardened to 57 - 59 RC to achieve a durable edge that retains its sharpness.
Most EKA folding knives have the blade secured with a screw that can be adjusted to trim the motion of the blade and to be dismantled for cleaning.

Tang of full length and width for best possible balance. The ergonomic handle of oiled bubinga hardwood is checkered for best possible grip. Supplied with sheath of selected oiled leather.

The A10 is designed with a handle with a round form giving optimum comfort and strength when using the knife. The handle is made from one piece of selected bubinga wood and has a pronounced finger guard. Bubinga is a dense and beautiful hardwood that comes from plantations in Africa. The blade is made from 4 mm stainless steel, Sandvik quality 12C27, and has a full tang. The thick blade makes the knife very suitable for heavy-duty use. The blade is hollowing grinded and sharpened to perfection in a robot station. The knife is carried in a secure genuine leather sheath with a buttoned transportation strap.
