A
person's choice of outdoor gear, especially that of hunters and
fishermen, is a source of personal pride and satisfaction. That
doesn't mean you must have the most expensive gun, rod, knife, boots,
or whatever, but the gun should be clean, well maintained, and accurate.
Your knife should shave, and hopefully the boots will be well broken-in
before tackling a major extended hunt. As outfitters in Alaska,
Knives of Alaska have guided hunters and fishermen into the Alaskan
bush for years. One fact is - and has always been - true: each man's
gear is going to play a major role in determining his success, comfort,
and enjoyment.

nothing will take the place of a good compact saw in the
outdoors. We have looked at wood and bone saws for years
and after much field testing, have designed two very efficient

Magnum
Ulu - W/ Loop Sheath £49.95
Our
Magnum Ulu should not be confused with the cheap "tourist"
models commonly available in magazines and souvenir shops
across Alaska. Our blades are handmade from American D-2
high carbon tool steel, individually hand ground, finished,
and sharpened to a hair-splitting razor edge. Our heat treat
process is a double draw method and then each blade is cryogenically
treated so that the cutting edge is extremely sharp and
stays that way even after extended use. Blades are hardened
to a Rockwell of 58-60.

Trekker
Series Elk Hunter Orange Suregrip
(also in black) £72.95
Made
with the same premium quality D2 Tool Steel, care, and dedication
to performance we place in all our products, we have designed
these three classic styled blades for the performance and
weight conscious hunter. Those hunters who climb the highest,
hunt the longest, and require a no-nonsense blade when it's
time to put the meat on the pole. We reduced the weight
by using an integral finger-guard rather than a separate
and heavier bolster/finger guard and by designing in two
large cutouts in the super strong full-tang handle. These
modifications make these knives lighter and result in a
perfectly balanced blade with the weight forward towards
the tip. Responding to countless requests from outdoorsmen
who have mislaid their knife while field-dressing, we are
offering the Trekkers in Hunter Orange as well as traditional
black.
This
drop-point style blade is an American classic that has been
used for decades for field dressing and skinning big game.
The long skinning radius is very useful for long slicing
cuts. Comes with an Orange SureGrip handle for easy location.
