The new Lone Wolf U.S.45 tactical folding knife echoes the classic design of the 1911 U.S. 45 ACP pistol. The handle is checkered rosewood with the U.S. symbol incorporated into its design. Like the classic 45 ACP pistol, this rugged knife will stand up to whatever you throw at it. It features ambidextrous one handed opening and closing, a stainless steel pocket clip and locking liner for safety. The blade is 3.3 inches long built from 440C high carbon stainless steel so the U.S.45 is ready to handle whatever challenge you face. To obtain the maximum edge retention and toughness the blades are heat-treated, tempered and then cryogenically frozen under the tightest process controls possible to ensure the best blade properties. The resulting blade is razor sharp and tough. The blade shape is a modified clip point with false-edge for great piercing strength combined with a shallow hollow ground cutting edge for durability and longevity.
The locking-liner, pocket clip and fasteners of the U.S.45 are heat-treated stainless steel making them tough and corrosion resistant. The over-frame bolster is anodized machined aluminum to keep the knife light and strong. Bronze blade-pivot washers insure smooth operation that get smoother with use. The handles are hand checkered and contoured rosewood to provide the distinctive 45 ACP styling and feel. The blade pivot remains adjustable throughout the life of the knife with torx-head fasteners secured with thread-locker adhesive. A lanyard hole provides attachment options using parachute cord or other lanyard materials.
