This knife can also be left "as is" after a little sending if you like a longer knife with a larger grip handle. Note: Due to the thickness of the handle, the blade may be difficult to open since the nail groove is completely cover by wood.

Opinel Safety knives £10.95
These Opinel knives have stainless steel blades by Swedish steel maker Sandvik. The steel is subject to a closely monitored tempering process, which guarantees you; exceptional hardness and protection against corrosion. This version has an 8cm blade and comes with the Virobloc feature. Virobloc is a safety feature, a locking ring which locks the blade in or out as required. It is great for preventing blades closing upon vulnerable fingers. For this reason it is favoured by Boy Scouts and other youngsters. This knife goes 1 step further along the safety route, as it has a round tipped blade.
