SpydercoSince starting Spyderco we've been told our knives are different, peculiar, even out there. All true. Thinking beyond established knife industry barriers allowed us to introduce new and radical innovations to the knife culture including: One-hand opening, serrations on a folder and a clip to attach a knife to a pocket. We didn't go into business to rake in a mountain of dough we're here for more selfish reasons- indulging our passion for creating knives. Spyderco is definitely out of the norm in the knife industry in our dedication to researching and developing fresh, improved and better performing materials all with function and reliability being key.

Spyderco Ladybug - Black

Spyderco Ladybug - Black (KBK) £18.95
Spyderco Ladybug - Green (LBG) £19.95

Spyderco offers a selection of keychain knives that include variations and different colors of two models: the Ladybug and Jester. Spyderco's name was founded on consistently offering reliable high performance and even our smallest knives support this. The key is ergonomic designs manufactured using exclusively premium materials and locking systems. Even though the knives are small enough to fit unnoticeably on a keychain, in a purse or the bottom of a pant's pocket they easily cut half-inch free hanging rope.
The Ladybug is a clipless mini-lock back folder that bites through half-inch thick rope like it's cutting air. Attach it to a key-ring or zipper pull or slip it unobtrusively in a pocket or purse. The Ladybug's uses are limitless, and its ready whenever you find yourself in need of a sharp blade. SpyderEdge or PlainEdge blade is hollow-ground AUS-6 stainless with the one-hand-open Spyderco Round Hole. The FRN handle is covered with Volcano-Grip texture and available in black or forest green. Its traditional back lock is positioned half way down the spine for unlocking the blade one-handedly.

Spyderco Saw

Spyderco Saw (T02) £35.95

When we set out to create a Spyderco saw we drew from our knifemaking knowledge incorporating many of our best knife features into a pocket-sized folding saw. Those features include: One-hand opening, premium blade steel, Spyderco cutting performance and a pocket clip.
For convenience the SpyderSaw has the Spyderco Round Hole allowing you to open the blade one-handedly. The AUS-6 steel blade has toothy dual level serrations off-set on both sides of the blade providing excellent bite and tear. Integrated into the FRN handle is a tip-up positioned pocket clip and a back lock with a David Boye Dent in the lock release lever. The Boye Dent is a refined safety feature, helping eliminate unintentional release of the lock if you're gripping the handle tightly. The SpyderSaw is intended for sawing wood, bone and fibrous materials, making it a useful tool for campers, paddlers, hunters, and for pruning, and yard chores.

Spyderco Dragonfly

Spyderco Dragonfly (C28 PBK) £38.95

Many of us buy small gentlemen's knives assuming we'll use them for undemanding cutting chores. While that is normally the case, the Dragonfly's diminutive size belies its cutting capabilities. When need be, it will cut and perform like a much larger folder because Spyderco's R&D team focused on creating a small but ergonomically superior package out of high-performance materials.
In order for the knife to feel like a larger knife in the hand, it needed well-designed ergonomics. A forefinger-choil and thumb-rest give the hand purchase points, filling out the palm and offering cutting control. Its leaf-shaped blade is flat-ground AUS-8 and the Spyderco Round Hole is 11mm facilitating easy opening. FRN handle is textured with Volcano-Grip and a tip-up integral pocket clip. Low profiled and weighing just over one ounce, the Dragonfly is one of the flagship models in Spyderco's Little Big Guy Knife line up.

Blade Length: 58mm
Overall Length: 138mm
Weight: 33g

Spyderco Delica

Spyderco Delica (C11 PBK) £38.95
(Please note that this knife has a plain edge - not as image shown)

In 1990 Spyderco shook things up by introducing two knives, the Delica and Endura. First of their kind on the market, both folders opened up the knife market to lightweight performance, one-hand open pocketknives that just about everyone could afford. They settled as Spyderco’s top two bestsellers and their improvement hasn’t slowed since. Refinement has been so ongoing and continual Spyderco tagged the updating/upgrading process with the term CQI- Constant Quality Improvement. During the Endura and Delica’s CQI journey Spyderco tweaked ergonomics, refined blade steels and fine-tuned their performance countless times. They are an evolutionary work in progress and the next level is here with the new Endura4 and Delica4. Both models now have screw construction making cleaning and adjusting easier. The fiberglass reinforced nylon handles come molded with Bi-Directional Texturing® for preferred traction and improved ergonomics. Inside the handle dual skeletonized stainless steel liners make the knife stronger without adding weight and make an anchor for all external and internal components to attach through adding sturdiness and rigidity. Their VG-10 blades are flat saber-ground with a stronger tip and larger 13mm opening hole. Added to the blade’s spine is slip resistant jimping. Phosphor bronze bushings smooth out the open/close action and the clip is upgraded to a four-way tip-up, tip-down, left- or right-handed clip.

Blade Length: 73mm
Overall Length: 181mm
Weight: 71g

Spyderco Centofante III

Spyderco Centofante III (C66 PBK 3) £43.95

If you move in custom knife industry circles and/or attend knife shows you will have heard of Frank Centofante. In addition to being a celebrated and longtime custom knifemaker Frank is a past President of the Knifemaker's Guild, a strong voice in the cutlery world and a revered and respected craftsman. Collaborating on knife designs with him is something Spyderco has been fortunate enough to do several times. Our latest offering is the Centofante III gentleman's folder.

The Centofante III has a thin-profiled, lightweight FRN handle. Two channels are furrowed out of the handle for better grip and a Palladium silver Spyderco bug is inlayed into its surface. For added security and convenience the back-lock is positioned midway on the spine and David Boye Dent is cut from the locking lever. The VG-10 blade has both a hollow-grind and swedge-grind with non-sharpened spine serrations to hold the thumb steady when cutting. A black steel pocket clip positions for tip-up/down, right-hand carry.

Blade Length: 79mm
Overall Length: 192mm
Weight: 71g

Spyderco Centofante IV

Spyderco Centofante IV (C66 PBK 4) £43.95

Spyderco is fortunate to have collaborated on numerous knife designs with custom knifemaker Frank Centofante over the past decade. Frank’s lifetime of experience in designing and crafting knives guarantees style and function in a gentleman’s folder. Spyderco’s Centofante4 folder represents the evolutionary refinement of previous Centofante/Spyderco collaborations. Its thin-profiled fiberglass reinforced nylon (FRN) handle is furrowed with grip enhancing channels and inset with a Palladium silver Spyderco logo bug. Adding security and ease of deployment, the back-lock is positioned mid-spine. Cut out of the locking lever is a David Boye Dent, diminishing the feasibility of gripping the knife handle tightly enough while cutting to unintentionally release the lock. The Centofante4 features a Wharncliffe VG-10 steel blade that has both a hollow-grind and a non-sharpened spine swedge-grind. Prominently rising above the Spyderco Round Hole is a crest for the thumb keeping it in controlled contact with the blade. Right-hand steel pocket clip positions the folder for tip-up/tip-down carry. Nested steel liner in the handle creates rigidity and a foundation for the clip’s screw attachment.

Blade Length: 76mm
Overall Length: 190mm
Weight: 69g

Spyderco Native III

Spyderco Native III (C78 PBK) £47.95
(Please note that this knife has a plain edge - not as image shown)

As a manufacturer of ergonomic hard-working knives, Spyderco has few rivals. It's been said our R&D team "designs in the dark", meaning function and comfort outweigh prettiness any day. More than anything, this earned Spyderco a reputation for making hardworking knives that seem to end up in your EDC rotation more than other knives.
Case in point is the Native III. Filling the hand with ergonomic comfort is a Bi-Directional textured handle molded of FRN. Dips and valleys on the handle's surface provide spots and textures the palm can grab onto. Separate expansion points along the underside of the handle: one behind the cutting edge, followed by another on the handle and a curve at the butt-end, work in concert keeping the hand firmly positioned and lessening cutting fatigue. The VG-10 blade tapers to a spear-point with a distinct swedge-grind that reduces weight and adds overall balance. Non-sharpened serrations along the spine keep the thumb planted securely while cutting or chopping. An ambidextrous tension wire clip is easy on a cloth pocket and positions the folder for tip-up carry.

Spyderco BIll Moran feather weight

Spyderco Bill Moran feather weight (FB02 P) £59.95

Bill Moran is recognized as the grandfather of American custom knifemaking and the founding father of the American Bladesmith Society. He started pounding steel, making knives more than fifty years ago. If you're lucky enough to find a custom-made Moran to buy, expect to shell out five-figures, minimum. His work and designs are that revered.
Spyderco is privileged to offer a production fixed-blade collaboration patterned in Bill Moran's ageless tradition. We've made it available in two distinct blade shapes. The FB02 (pictured) has a drop-point shape while the FB01 (see related item below) has an upswept Bowie-style blade. Both blades are flat-ground VG-10 and carry Bill's signature. They are tapered, starting thick where the blade joins the handle, thinning down the spine to a fine, uniformly ground tip. In the hand the knife conveys a unique feeling of balance, called by some a sweet spot. The sweet spot is due to the blade and handle being comparable in weight. This balance transfers into a feeling of steady control over the cutting edge. The FRN handle three-dimensionally fills out the palm and is inlayed with a panel of non-sliding Kraton. Highly recommended for hunting and camping both models come in a molded Kydex sheath with multi-position Tek-Lok fastening system.

Blade Length: 99mm
Overall Length: 205mm
Weight: 84g

Spyderco Salt I (C88 PBK) £61.95
(Please note that this knife has a plain edge - not as image shown)

A myth in the knife world is that, out there somewhere exists steel with high-performance cutting abilities that cannot rust. A Japanese steel foundry recently turned this myth into reality with the introduction of a steel they call H1. H1 is a PH steel meaning it is a precipitation-processed alloy, that's rolled hard without heat-treating and has .1% nitrogen which acts like carbon in the steel matrix, but does not react to chlorine making rust. Surprisingly, it holds a sharpened cutting edge comparable to the premium knife steels being used in the industry by most knife manufacturers.

One of Spyderco's top sellers is our Delica Model. Users gravitate to it due to its sensible size, versatile shape and tested durability. It makes complete sense to plug H1 into this model, so we did, with a couple modifications. Salt I has a more rounded tip that's a bit thicker at the point. Since H1 was developed specifically for use in and around water, rounding the tip better met the requirements of cutting chores associated with boating and fishing. The Spyderco Round Hole is increased in diameter to 14mm facilitating easier access for gloved or wet hands. All inside/outside steel components (lock bar, pins and clip) have been treated making them impervious to rust and pitting. Volcano Grip texturing covers both sides of the FRN handle for friction-resistance to slipping. David Boye's locking lever dent is a standard feature that inhibits the lock from accidental release if the handle is gripped with great force. A matching black titanium pocket clip positions for left/right tip-up portability. A hole running through the hollow clip screw makes a lanyard pipe for stringing thong or cord through when using around water.

Spyderco Navigator

Spyderco Navigator (C93 P) £63.95

We live in a world today where using a full-sized pocketknife in public can at times create notice. Spyderco has invested effort in developing a small-stature folder with ample blade strength and handle leverage for full-sized and large cutting jobs. The C93 Navigator II focuses on three features found in larger, hard-use pocketknives: A strong lock, robust blade and ergonomically advanced handle. Combined, these features convey the tactile sensation and performance features of a full-sized knife packing significant cutting power yet the Navigator II’s blade is just 2-1/4” long. Made from VG-10 stainless the blade is available SpyderEdged or PlainEdged. Its cutting edge is saber-ground on both sides of the blade for superior cutting capacity. Positioned above the Spyderco Round Hole a spine cusp forms a stable leveraging point on which the thumb rests. On the underside of the all-steel handle are a series of sculpted angles cut away to optimally settle the hand and fingers into grip position. The pocket clip carries the folder tip-down or can be used unobtrusively as a money-clip or tie tack.

Blade Length: 57mm
Overall Length: 138mm
Weight: 76g
Handle: Stainless Steel

Spyderco D'Allara Drop Point

Spyderco D'Allara Drop Point (C82 BK2) £71.95

New York City Police Officer John D’Allara entered but never exited World Trade Center Building One on September 11, 2001. Officer D’Allara was a life-long Spyderco collector who owned nearly every model we’ve made. In his commemoration and remembrance Spyderco offers the C82BK2 D’Allara Drop Point Folder. It presents the knife market a high-performance folder option with a premium VG-10 stainless steel blade and a hard-use rated lock system called the Ball Bearing LockTM. Its contoured handle is molded from impact-resistant fiberglass reinforced nylon (FRN) and patterned with grip-sticking Bi-Directional TexturingTM. Bioengineered to ergonomically fill the hand, the handle’s curves and valleys generate less fatigue and discomfort when grasped tightly or when cutting for extended time. The drop-point blade is made with cobalt enhanced VG-10 stainless steel packing 3-1/2 inches (89mm) of cutting power. Pulling back on the ball bearing releases the locking mechanism. Fully open the folder is 8” (203mm) long and weighs 5.75oz (164g).

Blade Length: 89mm
Overall Length: 203mm
Weight: 145g

Spyderco Persian

Spyderco Persian (C105 BMP) £83.95

Custom knifemakers are more than simply steel junkies. Ed Schempp is a wheat farmer, metallurgist and celebrated knifemaker who’s Persian Folder introduces Classic Western with Exotic East. Persian knives traditionally are fixed blades but Ed integrates this indigenous shape into a folding knife. Comprised of graceful curving lines, the new smaller Persian Folder 75mm is eye-catching with black Micarta handle scales capped by polished stainless bolsters. On the handle a series of finger choils position the hand for complete control over the cutting edge. Its Eastern inspired blade arches into a curving belly and ends in a graceful upswept tip. The 2-15/16” (75mm) blade is made of high-performance VG-10 steel (hollow-ground) with a prominent hump positioned above the hole as a thumb leveraging spot. The pocket clip positions the folder to carry right-handed tip-up. A small portion of steel removed from the locking lever offers additional lock safety and is called a David Boye Dent. It permits tightly gripping the handle without grasping with enough force to inadvertently disengaging the lock during use.

Blade Length: 75mm
Overall Length: 175mm
Weight: 99g
Handle: Black Micarta

Spyderco UK penknife

Spyderco UK penknife (C94 GP) £85.95

Man's oldest tool is governed by modern legalities in almost every country in the world. If man makes it, it seems he must legislate it. The UK imposes its own legal parameters for possession and usage of pocketknives. Folding knives that lock open are restricted so Spyderco developed a modified Calypso-style folder expressly for the UK with a non-locking blade. Precisely machined, the folder's internal notch-joint supplies roughly 20pounds of resistance to closing the blade and doesn't lock the blade open. It functions like a traditional slip-joint, while offering a high performance and a viable alternative to a locking folder.
Black G-10 handle maximises comfort and cutting control.
Tension wire clip for left or right handed use.

UK legal to carry

Spyderco UK penknife safety

Spyderco UK penknife safety (C94 GOR) £86.95

The knife may be man’s oldest tool but today it is governed by different carry restrictions in nearly every country in the world. It seems: “if man makes it, he must legislate it”. This is particularly true regarding pocketknives in the United Kingdom where legal guidelines govern the size and function of all pocketknives carried in public. One of these parameters is that folding knives not have blades that lock open. Spyderco addressed this by developing a non-locking folder expressly for the UK called the UK Penknife.

The blade on the UK Penkife is held open by a notched-joint at the knife’s pivot. When closing the blade the notch produces roughly twenty-pounds of resistance, functionally similar to traditional slip-joint penknives. To achieve a heightened sense of control and comfort, Spyderco designers added a deep finger choil positioning the index finger on the bottom of the blade directly under the thumb. This lets you choke up nearer the cutting edge with comfort and dexterity. The handle is safety orange G-10 with a tension-wire clip that carries deeply in the pocket, tip-up and either left or right-handed. The CPMS30V laser cut blade is available PlainEdged and ground flat on both sides.

Blade Length: 74mm
Overall Length: 175mm
Weight: 69g
Handle: G-10

Spyderco Kiwi

Spyderco Kiwi Red Bone (SC 75 PRB) £90.95

Its two-inch VG-10 blade has a Wharncliffe profile and pronounced hump created to accommodate the Spyderco Round Hole. Position of the hole on the blade is important (especially for smaller knives) in finding the spot with the most comfortable/natural pivotal rotation when opening one-handed. Dual finger choils cutaway on the underbelly of the handle deposit the fore- and middle fingers in alignment for optimal control. Amber-colored jig bone scales set next to brushed stainless bolsters are reminiscent of more traditional cutlery. In the manner of a true gent's folder, it is clipless.

Blade Length: 60mm
Overall Length: 138mm
Weight: 50g
Handle: Red Bone

Spyderco Poliwog

Spyderco Poliwog (C98) £91.95

A pollywog represents metamorphosis in the animal kingdom, adapting and changing its form to survive in its environment. The same principle applies here. The Spyderco Poliwog CLIPIT thrives in a small-knife-friendly environment while keeping the features necessary to excel in a harsh, heavy cutting and performance setting. Its distinctive opened-ended Ball Bearing Lock™ exposes the knife’s inner workings for easy cleaning and rates as one of Spyderco’s highest strength locking mechanisms. Pulling back on the ball unlocks the blade ambidextrously from either side of the knife. The hand settles on the curved handle positioning the index finger into a choil that optimizes control and generates less fatigue and pressure on the hand during cutting. Made from VG-10, the blade has a hollow-ground edge with a weight reducing swedge-grind extending mid-spine to the tip. It is available PlainEdged. Its ambidextrous wire-tension pocket clip sets the Poliwog tip-up in the pocket.

Blade Length: 59mm
Overall Length: 143mm
Weight: 116g
Handle: Stainless Steel

Spyderco Volpe

Spyderco Volpe (SC99) £99.95

The name Fox Cutlery is well known throughout Europe. Fox started manufacturing knives in the 1970s in Maniago, Italy. They swiftly gained a reputation for pairing traditional materials with quality construction and pioneering designs. After they opened for business they collaborated with another knife company in Maniago called Lion Steel Knife and began using high-grade finishing and CNC machining. Recently the Fox and the Spyder were introduced. The outcome is a Spyderized knife designed by Gabriele Frati and Gianni Pauletta (also known as G&G design) that is manufactured in Maniago. We call it the Volpe (fox in Italian). As expected from Spyderco the C99 has a Round Hole and calculated ergonomics. These contemporary Spyderco features are striking when set alongside a more traditional European stainless handle that is overlaid in blonde olivewood. The blade is available flat-ground in a PlainEdge configuration. It is made of N690Co, a cobalt additive steel manufactured in Europe. Positioned forward of the Spyderco Round Hole sits an indentation, ready to hold the index finger securely on the blade, boosting control. The backside of the handle doubles as an integral Chris Reeve-style LinerLock and has a Spyderco bug laser cut in detail out of the steel scale.

Blade Length: 87mm
Overall Length: 189mm
Weight: 110g
Handle: Stainless steel with olive wood inlay

Spyderco Caly 3

Spyderco Caly 3 (C11 3G) £99.95

The Calypso folder isn’t just one of Spyderco’s most popular folders, it inspired new Spyderco designs over the last ten years and converted many a knife buyer to the hard-use benefits of flat-ground, thick leaf-shaped blades. This is a workingman’s (or woman’s) folder and it’s founded on the design philosophy that the most comfortable and usable pocketknife is one that feels like a natural extension of your hand. The Caly3 has a VG-10 blade shaped like a leaf, thick at the tang, tapering to a robust tip. The sharpened edge is flat-ground and finely honed for precision and resistance-free cutting. There is a substantial finger choil where the handle meets the blade. At this spot the index finger settles naturally into the choil while the thumb settles directly above on the blade’s spine. The spine is textured with slip resistant jimping so the knife cannot slide forward or backward while cutting. The ergonomic handle is G-10 with a mid-positioned back lock. A low profile stainless wire clip holds the folder deeply in a pocket either tip-up.

Blade Length: 76mm
Overall Length: 178mm
Weight: 86g
Handle: G-10

Spyderco Ocelot

Spyderco Ocelot (C74) £115.95

In reality, knives made specifically for hunting get used for cutting much more than just what you bag. It holds equally true that generic outdoor knives often find their way into the hands of the hunter field-dressing their success. The Ocelot seamlessly covers both bases crossing from sport to field and back. The blade’s drop-point tip is thick at the end and its curved full-belly makes short work of both hunting and field chores. It’s constructed with cobalt enriched VG-10 that stays sharper longer in the field where sharpness matters most. Various spots on the hollow-ground blade are textured: At the base of the spine, along the finger choil area and again behind the Spyderco Round Hole. This texturing offers tactical resistance when in contact with the thumb or index finger optimizing grip and providing slip resistance when cutting and caping. The ergonomic G-10 handle is machined with paw prints (pugs) housing full steel liners inside. An ambidextrous tip-up or tip-down clip offers multiple carry options. Centered mid-spine, a back lock features a David Boye dent, minimizing the opportunity to inadvertently release the lock while forcefully gripping the knife. A thong or lanyard can be strung through the steel lined lanyard hole for backup attachment when using the knife in water or brush. Available with PlainEdge or CombinationEdge blade.

Blade Length: 83mm
Overall Length: 192mm
Weight: 116g
Handle: G-10

Spyderco Para-Military Black Blade

Spyderco Para-Military (C81 GBK) £119.95

When Spyderco introduced the Military Model years ago it gathered fans like the Pied Piper. Critics claimed it too big, too expensive and more knife than the average user needed. Likewise, fans heralded the knife's big performance attributes and snapped them up, firmly positioning the Military Model as one of Spyderco's top all-time sellers. Carrying a large folder for many is simply a non-issue. For others in our sensitive PC world, smaller equates to friendlier, less shocking, and in some place just plain legal. We arrive back at the question knifemakers ask everyday, "How do we satisfy both worlds and make a smaller knife that acts, cuts and performs like a large knife?"

Welcome the Para-Military, a two-thirds sized version of the Military Model. Its flat-ground S30V blade stretches a non-eyebrow raising 3-3/32" (81mm) long and has a carbon level of 1.45% with the addition of vanadium and nitrogen for over-the-top edge retention. Coated in black, the blade is subdued and non-reflective. The Spyderco Round Hole is generously sized at 14mm for opening the knife blade with gloved (or large) hands. Its black G-10 handle shuns chemicals and temperature fluctuations and expands at the butt-end keeping the hand from slipping off the handle while making hard pulling cuts. The package is topped off with a nested Compression Lock making the ultimate mid-sized survival knife designed to level trees, carve tent stakes and never generate a second glance.

Blade Length: 81mm
Overall Length: 200mm
Weight: 108g
Handle: G-10

Spyderco T Mag

Spyderco T-Mag (C115 CFP) £159.95

Innovational knifemaker Ralph Turnbull’s new Spyderco collaboration is the C115 T-Mag folder. It houses a powerful Rare Earth (Neodymium NdFeB) Magnet, mounted internally in the knife’s spine where the blade and handle join. The magnet performs the same function as a notch- or slip-joint, holding the blade open when used and closed when pocketed by way of magnetic pull. Gunmetal gray carbon fiber handle scales have a pronounced finger choil that places the index finger behind the cutting edge further blocking the knife blade from closing when you’re cutting. The flat-ground blade is laser cut CPMS30V high-carbon steel that is well known in knife circles for exceptional long term edge retention and performance. The finger choil and the spot on the blade’s spine above the round hole have jimping (texturing) further keeping the hand engaged safely on the handle while cutting. The wire clip is ambidextrous, positioning the closed knife to carry in a pocket knife tip up. Made in Golden, Colorado U.S.A.
