Henry is a studio devoted to designing and building the finest knives
in the world. The name is derived from the middle names of the founding
partners, Matt William Conable and Michael Henry Honack. Matt and
Michael co-own William Henry Knives, based in McMinnville, Oregon.
William Henry blends state of the art alloys, timeless
natural materials, and extraordinary craftsmanship to elevate superlative
function to superlative art. Their unique and exquisite products
have garnered international press in more than 40 magazines and

This
collection from William Henry offers a modern vision of
the traditional friction folder. The gentleman’s knife,
reduced to its essence, with solid carbon fiber handles
and our superlative ZDP-189 blade steel.
Each piece features a small tang off the end of the blade,
which can be used to rotate or flick the blade open. This
tang then integrates into the carbon fiber handle to become
a thumb-pad which holds the blade open during use. The simple
grip of the hand on the knife during use creates the effective
lock to prevent closure.
A patent-pending detent system secures the blade closed
for safe carry, and also detents the blade open to locate
the thumb-pad in the correct position. Elegant, lightweight,
simple, very sharp and built to perform.
Each
piece includes William Henry’s engraved serial number,
Certificate of Authenticity, and a leather case for pocket

Henry’s Wave Damascus (patents pending) is created
from 45 layers of three separate metal alloys. The centre
of each billet, where it intersects the cutting edge,
is our renowned ZDP-189. This core material ensures unmatched
sharpness and performance, while the alternating exterior
layers create texture, contrast, beauty, and blade flexibility.
Each blade is hand-ground and polished, and a final etching
process reveals the exquisite pattern of the Damascus
steel.

Rio features handles that are built from solid titanium
(with electric-bronze accents), with inset scales of snakewood.
Snakewood is one of the rarest and hardest of all exotic
hardwoods, and we select only the best for our handles.
