Eklund Tanto 90

Eklunds version of the Japanese Tanto, a ceremonial short sword with a characteristic grind at the tip of the blade. This style of grind offers a unique style of work where the tip of the blade is useful for very fine work, while the angle at the belly of the blade offer a very strong point for cutting on a surface.

These Tanto blades come in stainless AEB-L from Böhler-Uddeholm. This steel was originally developed for razor blades and quickly found its way into knife blades as well. AEB-L can take a very keen edge, has a decent wear- and corrosion resistance. A close equivalent to AEB-L is the 13C26 stainless steel from Swedish steel giant Sandvik.

All Eklund knife blades are hardened, sharpened and ready to get a handle.
