B.O.B. Fieldcraft 154CM Black

The Brothers of Bushcraft, a coalition of men across North America focusing on sharing wilderness living skills of all categories.  The knife is ten inches long overall, with a blade length of four and a half inches. This makes a compact, but extremely serviceable knife. The Fieldcraft's blade is 3/16" thick, and (ed.) this version is made of 154CM Stainless Steel.,With G10 scales and red liners, The cutting edge has a modified Scandinavian Grind, which is very effective for carving, skinning and other general woods work. With a rockwell hardness of (ed.) 58-60, the ease of sharpening is astounding. That is if you ever get to sharpen the blade. As the hardness and edge geometry work beautifully together to make a long lasting edge.  The G10 handle has cut-outs on both sides for a bow drill. The tang also sticks out at the back of the handle so that  you don't put too much strain on the Micarta handle while batoning. On the pommel you'll also find a cut-out to safely use a firesteel.
