UK Legal Knives
Every knife on this page is a folding knife we've marked as legal to carry in the UK: the blade doesn't lock, and its cutting edge is 3 inches (7.62 cm) or less. Many are traditional slip joints, and there are modern designs too, from makers including Case, Rough Rider, Böker and Spyderco.
GOV.UK says you can carry a folding knife in public without needing a reason only if its cutting edge is no longer than 3 inches and it is not a lock knife. A lock knife, or a fixed blade, needs a good reason to be carried in public, such as for your work. Some places, such as schools, don't allow knives at all, and carrying any knife to use as a weapon is a crime. The full rules are on GOV.UK: https://www.gov.uk/buying-carrying-knives. This is a general guide, not legal advice.
